Cookie Policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

StorySell System uses two first-party cookies it needs to work and, only if you accept them, analytics and advertising cookies from Google, Meta and Microsoft. This page lists them and how to change your choice.

Essential cookies

These cookies are required for the service to function, so EU rules allow them to be set without consent. Neither tracks you across other sites.

Name Purpose Duration
__Host-sid Keeps you signed in after you log in to your account. 7 days
__Host-beta Remembers that you already sent a beta application, so returning to the form shows your application status instead of a blank form. 180 days

Analytics and advertising

On your first visit a banner asks whether you accept analytics and advertising cookies. Until you accept, none of the tools below is loaded and none of their cookies is set.

If you accept, we load Google Tag Manager, which runs the Google tags we set up in it (such as Google Analytics and Google Ads), the Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity. They show us how visitors find and use the site and which of our ads work, and let Google and Meta show our ads to people who visited. Clarity also records how pages are used, such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement. Which Google cookies are set depends on the tags running at the time.

Name Purpose Duration
_ga, _ga_* Google Analytics: tells visits apart and keeps a visit together, to count how people use the site. 2 years
_gcl_au Google Ads: links a visit to the Google ad it came from, to measure which ads work. 90 days
_fbp, _fbc Meta Pixel: recognises your browser and the Meta ad you clicked, to measure our ads and show them to past visitors. 90 days
_clck, _clsk, CLID Microsoft Clarity: connects the pages of a visit and returning visits, to show how pages are used. 1 day to 1 year
MUID Microsoft: recognises your browser across Microsoft services, set through Clarity. 1 year

Your choice itself is kept in your browser's local storage under the name cookie_consent_v2, not in a cookie, and only this site reads it.

Other services

When you pay, you are taken to Stripe's checkout page, where Stripe sets its own cookies under its cookie policy. The web fonts on our pages are loaded from Google Fonts; this sends your IP address to Google, as our Privacy Policy explains, but sets no cookies.

Managing cookies

You can change your choice at any time with the button below; after you decline, the analytics and advertising tools no longer load. Your browser also lets you block or delete cookies for this site. Blocking the essential cookies above signs you out and resets the beta application form.
